BEFORE Ivytalk: The manager would go to his office and pull out the phone list.  He sits down to begin making calls to employees.  He is getting voicemail and leaving messages. He pulls out his personal phone to text a few people he knows might be around and answers text messages.   One of them comes in.  After a while his phone begins ringing, but he already got the staff he needed.  He answers several calls.
